The Clapton coil has become renowned with vapers for its excellent flavour and vapour production, but has traditionally been a DIY job for those with a bit more specialist experience. Now Aspire have made this exceptional design available in a pre-built coil, allowing vapers of all experience levels to become familiar with it.
A Clapton coil features a small diameter of wire wrapped around a larger piece of wire in a perpendicular fashion, which allows for an increase in surface area from standard coils. A larger surface area allows for both better flavour and vapour production. Available in 0.5 ohms.
- 5 x Aspire Triton Clapton Coil
- Coil rating - 0.5 ohms
- Coil range (guide only) 40-45 watts
- Wire used - Kanthal
Important information about Sub Ohm vaping:
These devices are also designed for sub-ohm vaping, and they require more vaping experience to use safely, and extra care should be taken when using a sub ohm tank. Sub ohm coils will only work on a mod capable of firing sub ohm atomisers. Please ensure that your batteries can handle the extra power requirements, and that your mod can handle the amps.
We also advise not to use any e-liquid with more than 6mg of nicotine, as your vapour may taste harsh. Sub ohm vaping produces a bigger throat hit than standard coils, and extra care should be taken.

AMAZING! (13 December 2016)
I'm using these coils in my Super Tank mini with Wick Liquor Boulevard juice and the flavour, and vapour production is just outstanding! I used to have really bad spitting issues with stock super tank coils and I was starting to think that I have a defective tank because I went through like 4 coils but with these ones I have no problems whatsoever apart from a little leakage when I refilled the tank but that was my fault for not maintaining vacuum pressure. All in all I highly recommend these bad boys!

Clouded Judgment (27 September 2016)
I prefer a hot vape with lots of flavour and these coils deliver on that front. Using a 220W SMOK H-Priv box with the Triton 2 tank, these coils really carry the flavour and produce a hot vape at 30W upwards. They will drink your juice though!

Like a diet vape (25 February 2016)
It's like vaping toned way down ! my set up Atlantis v2 on a smok x cube 2 with ruthless grape drink . Right up at 45 watt taking a average 8 second direct lung inhal and I'd be better passive vaping someone else's rig when they have one for men give me a call as in theory this should be mega.
The best coils for Triton (15 January 2016)
I have used all the coils available for the Triton 2 (Ni200, 0.3ohm, 0.4ohm and 1.8ohm) and these have to be my favorite. Great taste and clouds. The Ni200 coils are a close second to these but for me the Clapton is better.

Sick (27 November 2015)
These coils are nothing short of "the business". I'm using them in my Aspire Atlantis V1 tank, they aren't recommended for it, but the dude in my local vape shop tells me it's all good.
At 40W the vape is hot, the flavour is immense, the throat-kick is sensational (I've just gone down to 3mg and by the throat-hit I would say it almost feels like I'm vaping 6mg) and the clouds, don't even get me started on those. Plumes of luscious vapour fill the room. I had to put the car window down when vaping today as I could barely see.
The minor draw-backs; they seem to really get through the juice. I usually vape 2-3ml per day, I've vaped 2ml in the past 3 hours (though it might be that I'm using it more because it's so good!), also for some they may be too hot, and they're not quite as smooth as .5 Atlantis V2 coils, but I must admit I'd sacrifice the smoothness for the vapour, heat and cloud production. They pop, and crackle, and just generally sound ferocious. I love them.
