Aspire Nautilus Replacement Coil (BVC)

The Aspire Nautilus 2 tank is the successor to the original Nautilus and Nautilus Mini tanks. It features a 2ml capacity and a Top Filling mechanism, along with an expanded set of airflow options. This allows the user to dial just the right airflow regardless of coil choice.

Aspire have produced a new 0.7ohm coil for the Nautilus 2, and while it technically is a Sub-ohm atomiser, it's not really designed for the higher powered, direct-to-lung vaping, and should be considered a mouth-to-lung vape. The Nautilus 2 tank is also backwards compatible with the existing Nautilus coils, rated at 1.6ohm and 1.8ohms.

Contains:

  • 1 x Nautilus 2 Tank
  • 1 x Spare Coil
  • 1 x Extra Glass Section
  • 8 x Spare O Rings
  • 1 x User Manual
  • 1 x Warning Card
  • 1 x Spare Drip Tip

Features:

  • 2ml Capacity
  • Top Fill
  • Sub Ohm and Above Ohm Coil Options
  • Metal Sleeve

Important information about Sub Ohm Vaping:

These coils are designed for sub-ohm vaping. They require more vaping experience to use safely, and extra care should be taken when using a sub ohm tank and mod. The coils will only work on a mod capable of firing sub ohm atomisers. Please ensure that your batteries can handle the extra power requirements, and that your mod can handle the amps.

We also advise not to use any e-liquid with more than 6mg of nicotine, as your vapour may taste harsh. Sub ohm vaping produces a bigger throat hit than standard coils, and extra care should be taken.

Brilliant tank!! (21 February 2018)

Received lightning fast!!! I havent experienced the issues that many have with the filling of this tank it has been a dream. I had the origional nautilus and this is a great upgrade. Using the 0.7 coil great flavour and vapour production 10*

Thumbs up (18 February 2018)

I’ve had no problems with this tank at all, it looks stylish I bought a spare in a different colour to mix up the look. Only negative I would say is it could have a bigger tank, but it gets me through the day and I keep a spare vape juice in the car.

Great Flavour But Annoying As Hell. (02 February 2018)

The flavour is great from this tank, but its one of the most badly designed tanks iv had. first twisting the glass off causes the plastic covering the airholes to constantly fall off, secondly trying to remove the glass in order to change the coil is impossible. It needs to be wet before it can be removed. When it came I had to wear nitrile gloves in order to remove the glass because i couldn't remove it with my fingers alone - scared on breaking it. Then when you put the coil in the cap doesn't always screw onto the coil properly and causes massive leakage. Im not sure why this is recommened as a great tank for starters on youtube but this tank is way too fiddily for a new vaper and would put them off vaping. I don't even use it now as its just too much of a task. The innokin T20s tank produces great flavour on par with this and it so much more simple. That's my go to tank for mouth to lung over this anyday. Personally despite the great flavour, I cant recommend this tank at all.

Almost Brilliant (27 January 2018)

After being unimpressed by the cleito exo due to its liquid & battery drainage, I got one of these, The flavour it produces is perfect & the airflow is the best ive had on a tank, Seriously the flavour production is awesome it really changes the flavour of your liquid. If you've struggled spotted a flavour in your juice it will show up in this. However the coils let this tank down. They are small & will burn out quick with 70vg up.
The downside to this tank is how it screws together. The top screws to the coil & given its small tpd size regular top ups are needed stressing the poor small coil, after a couple of days of untightening and tightening the thread wears until eventually you unscrew the coil with the top, which then floods the air chamber with liquid and out of the air holes. I've had 2 coils completely snap in half!! With my kanger kbox 160 the more you top up the more the mod doesn't register the coil forcing you to tighten the top more to register the coil.
So because of its design its a 5 for this tank, flavour however is 20 out of 10.

Good but requires a routine. (25 October 2017)

A lot of folk having leaky/messy problems here. This tank requires a quick maintenance routine for perfect performance and a leak free operation.

Make sure the coil is in real tight, any slack here and it can drain out the tank through the air holes or the top cap may spin out the coil as well as you unscrew it making a mess.
The coil is the only component I would recommend has a really tight twist, do not twist the top cap to such an extent nor twist the whole tank to the mod on a really tight twist as undoing them could be a problem due to the smooth shape of the device,

As many say on tightening the top cap flip it upside down for the final couple of turns for the bite on the seal to the o rings. This eliminates (or minimises) forcing an amount of juice into the coil and giving you an initial gurgle and spit back.

Topping up then wash out the outer sleeve and drip tip under a hot tap (or if you can't wash it then at least give it a wipe inside with a tissue) and give the glass a wipe around the top. The outer sleeve can hold some juice which if not wiped away can slide down the outside of the glass.

Stick to these little tips and this tank stays clean and never leaks.

Great tank (13 October 2017)

I love this tank i have 4. I do have few issues with it though.I wish it had been top filling cause u have to unscrew it to fill up n the glass is always covered in juice n there nowhere to grip on it to just unscrew cap so u have to take whole thing off from mod to unscrew it wich is a tad annoying.I use the 0.7 coils n vape at 19 watts n get great flavour.

Also one i bought did not turn up n VC replaced it straight away n sent it recorded delivery.Great customer service n i use them loads.

Good tank - I bought a second one (13 September 2017)

One of these came with the Zelos kit. On balance, I like it. I bought a second one to put on another mod so I can switch. The stainless steel one is very presentable, in a medical instrument kind of way. (It's a lot easier to unscrew than the aluminium one.)

Good points

1. After you get the hang of it, it produces good flavour. You can adjust the airflow from golf-ball-in-garden-hose to quite airy (but it will never be enough for DTL).

2. The drip tip is comfortable, especially the stainless steel one.

3. It's reasonably silent, I have another tank which is very noisy and sounds like a child sucking on an empty Coke in McDonalds.

4. It feels and looks well-made, as if it was designed and manufactured with care.

Bad points

1. It wets itself all over the glass every time you break the seal to open it for a refill. Slightly annoying, but not that big a deal.

2. The top cover always ends up too tight so sometimes difficult to remove the thing to refill it as the whole lot will just unscrew from the mod. This seems to be a heat expansion thing.

3. Difficult to get the top off as nothing to grip on the bottom.

Old Bad Points that I have now overcome

1. Gurgling and flooding. It never floods now that I turn it upside down for the last few turns once the o-ring on the cover bites when tightening it.

2. Coil coming out. Ony happened twice. Solution: tighten the coil into the deck/base a bit tighter than you'd like. You can always use pliers to unscrew the used coil. It's going in the bin anyway.

Never had it actually leak in use. I'm going to get another one as I get bored with the same liquid all the time and hate filling tanks. (Or maybe an iJoy Elf, although they're hard to find.) It does ooze a little from the top seal onto the tank glass when opening it. Use a cloth, is the only solution I know to that.

I've settled on 0.7 ohm coils at about 19W and some 18mg 70VG tobacco liquid and it's all fine.

It can vape 100VG liquids without getting bunged up. Although these are only available in silly flavours so I don't vape these much. I vape 70VG all day on it and the flavour is good with the coil changed once a week.

The most frustrating, annoying tank ever! Good flavour though. (06 September 2017)

I'm a mouth to lung vaper and own a fair amount of different tanks. I have the original Nautilus, which is great but can sometimes be a nightmare to unscrew for filling.

The Nautilus 2 is the most fiddly, annoying, leaky tank I've ever encountered. It is seriously flawed in its design. It floods badly and I've lost loads of liquid, which is of course, criminal. I've watched all the videos and read all the tips on how to avoid flooding. Obviously closing the airholes when refilling is a given and I've also flipped the tank upside down for the last screw on closing which helps a little but not much.

Probably the most irritating thing about this tank though is every time you unscrew to refill, the bloody coil unscrews with the top. The coil is always screwed in as tight as possible but you have to have the top screwed on to the perfect position to ensure it doesn't take the coil with it when removing. You then have to clean juice off the connection and the whole process is very messy.

The glass gets liquid all over the outside and it's generally a messy, cumbersome process. I've owned it for several months and have given this tank a fair few chances to impress but most the time it ends up being cleaned and put back in its box while I return to more trustworthy tanks.

The flavour from the coils is great though. The only positive.

Peace.

Great tank, however... (04 September 2017)

This is a great, solid, beautiful looking tank.

However, there is a slight fault in that over filling the tank causes the chimney to flood, as you will find many people commenting on. It's not a deal breaker, but it means the tank in reality holds a lot less than 2ml and I find I have to refill it 10x more than the original. The glass also gets rather clammy and I have to wash my hands every fill.

While it has top fill, it's not actually that productive, it's actually quicker for me to unscrew the bottom off the nautilus mini 3x a day than the top off the Nautilus 2 13x a day. And it's no where near as messy, takes the same coils and for me produces the best draw.

So while the design of the Nautilus 2 is a much needed upgrade, and the extra airflow is a welcome option, in my opinion the performance of the original Nautilus and Nautilus Mini are superior and more efficient in my daily use. It was always going to be difficult to beat the 10/10 original, but this is still a great tank and I would give the Nautilus 2 a solid 9/10.

Great product (17 August 2017)

Being new to vaping a friend gave me a mod and a tank to get started but wanted something of my own so saw this and liked the look of it. Works great and love using it.
