Dissapointed (03 April 2017)
Just a disclaimer - I didn't buy this mod from VapeClub.
I was really disappointed with this mod. The original Reuleaux (in it's 3 battery configuration), was a powerhouse, with days of battery life and a nice, ergonomic, feel to it. While it was quite hefty to hold, it was never uncomfortable and the benefits far outweighed the cons.
With the RXMini, however, it's a completely different kettle of fish. They have kept true to the design of the original, but in an extremely miniature form-factor. While this sounds nice in theory, the Reuleaux form factor just doesn't work in such a small body. It's uncomfortable to hold, when triggering with either the thumb or the index finger, the corners of the mod dig into the hand. To trigger it without using the index finger and the thumb of the same hand, you have to hold it almost like a claw grip. It's honestly the most uncomfortable mod I've ever used.
I'm also extremely surprised at the battery life. When compared against other "mini" mods, it's mAh capacity is lower than I would have expected. Again, given the form factor, I would have hoped that they would have managed to fit in a slightly bigger battery capacity, but no. Aside from the capacity of the battery, it also doesn't seem to perform very well. I'd get occasional voltage drops, and the longevity, even in MTL mode vaping at 10-14 watts, it would struggle to last me a day.
There is no fast-charging either, which compounds the seemingly poor battery life, having to wait up to 2 hours to get a full charge from flat (which doesn't sound bad out of context, but when you have to charge it multiple times a day, it becomes frustrating).
I also don't understand the placement of the 510 pin. 22mm devices will look fine atop this mod, but 24mm+ will cause overhang, which is a strange design in 2017, especially given the real-estate available atop the mod.
One last point to mention is that the power adjustment is on the bottom of the mod, and because of this, the buttons have had to be recessed into the mod making them a bit of a pain to press.
I can't comment about the accuracy of the mod in TC mode, or how it performs in TC, but in power mode, it just doesn't work for me. Perhaps if you have smaller hands, you may find it more comfortable to hold, but if not, I would absolutely look elsewhere. (In particular, the Vaporesso Tarot Nano. It outperforms this mod in every conceivable way, and is only £10 more expensive, with a tank and coils included).
