As a fan of five pawns, on paper I really thought this would be my favourite. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. Nice enough liquid but the flavour balance and intensity was a little lacking compared to others I’ve tried. May just be me and down to personal taste.

This eliquid tastes like a burnt coil. I tried it on two devices but I got the same nasty bitter taste. I vaped it long enough for the eliquid to warm and the coil to adjust, but this made no difference. However, it smells nice and leaves a nice aroma, but tastes disgusting. Whatever you do, do NOT get this eliquid in the mouth- it is truly the worst thing you will ever taste. It will make you physically shudder in revolt!

The mixed reviews have me scratching my head ,defiantly a creamy caramel inhale with a sweet pastry apple exhale . price is worth a mention but it seriously tastes decadent and a notch above a lot of others . Complex but as described which is always great , just need to try more five pawns

Taste is of course subjective but I expected a lot more from Gambit.
I don't notice much apple or pastry. Or cream. Or ice cream. In fact I'm not sure what it is I'm tasting.
The thing I can't get on with is the strange cheap scented soap smell on the end of the exhale (I think that's meant to be the cream). I was expecting a rich, full flavour experience but in fact it smells like my nan's bathroom.
It's pretty smooth though.
If you want apple pie I'd recommend Apple Pie And Custard by What's For Afters. That one has good cooked apples and great pastry.
I'm now wary of trying other Five Pawns liquids as Gambit seems to be highly popular.
I don't know, maybe my nose and tongue are broken.

I'm a big fan of Five Pawns' juices, especially Black Flag Risen Enriched, Grandmaster, Bowden's Mate and Symmetry Six. I love apple pie and I had high hopes for this. I have to say it was a bit disappointing, really.
The flavour isn't bad, but I dont think it's very accurate. It's strong enough, but I find it hard to pick out the individual flavours, or even what it's supposed to be.
Symmetry Six is a beautiful dessert flavour by the same company, so I'm surprised this doesn't even compare. Perhaps I got some of a bad batch.
I think Dinner Lady's Apple Pie is better.

mmmmmm, so far not too impressed with the Five Pawn line and I had such high expectations. I'm going to give them one more shot and order one more flavour!
For how much they cost - so far, I feel like you get a very nice bottle with an eliquid that does taste high quality, but doesn't met the description - so far. Like I said will give them one more shot!

After reading all the excellent reviews I had to try this liquid. I love most caramel type flavours and I was expecting this to be great especially since it's so expensive! Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed. It's not bad, it's just nowhere near as nice as I thought it would be.it has a slightly chemically taste which is a bit off-putting and overpowers the nice sweet caramel flavour a bit. I will definitely try it again after a bit of steeping and hopefully I'll get on with it better then. I do still quite like the taste I just don't love it, but I am quite fussy with eliquids in general! I love ordering from here because it always arrives the next day! Thanks!

I had to stop to write this review instantly. This juice is absolutely phoenominal, of all the hundreds of juices I've Vaped over the years the good ones have tasted "like" what they are supposed to.

This is a nice juice. A full on Apple pastry. More McDonald's apple pie then anything else and a good vape but too expensive for what it is. I will vape the bottle but it's not good enough to buy again at £24
Why do they cost so much I wonder? Vaping using a toptank mini SSOCC 0.5 ohm coil at 23-25w. A nice medium throat hit and good cloud for 50/50 but far too expensive. I would buy queenside again but not this for that price.

Probably my favourite juice overall. It grows on you; for me it wasn't love at first vape but after a while, I really started appreciating the subtle apple pie flavour and creaminess. I'm not a big fan of many five pawns liquids - but this and Castle Long are two that I always have loaded and ready to vape.

I understand how marketing and subliminal messaging works and I'm not impressed.
It's been proven that nine times out of ten people will subconsciously prefer a more expensive product.
Does that equate to a more refined product, I doubt the wine testing experiments would confirm that.
it's an ok juice. It's vapeable, it's pleasant, but I'm not one to glorify a company who thinks they deserve to make more money than others.
The flavours are there but this is nothing special.
It's nice, does it justify a £8/£9 increase in price compared to other premiums...
HECK NO.
I urge people to stick to lower cost juices so these companies don't start thinking they can charge anything they like just coz we are all inclined to take more pleasure in something we pay more for.

I like this but I also don't. When I first got it the overwhelming taste of Caramel was too much! I left it for at least 3 weeks and it settled dramatically. Problem is there is too much Pastry which creates harshness, too much caramel too. Still it is recognisable as how it is described... just the iceland version rather than the home made we all know and love

With gee, doesn't taste anything like the description? getting a whisky tobacco flavour which isn't really pleasant. Been vaping for a while and have a selection of great flavours and was kinda looking forward to this Ejuice and really disappointed. I'm leaving for a bit and will give it another go... fingers crossed as a shame to waste a 30ml bottle!

Brown sugar, caramel syrup pastry baked goodness.
Used to love this stuff and have gone through many bottles, but i just cannot justify the price anymore. A year ago, yes, as this was easily one of a kind and so damn luxurious to vape. But you can easily find equally quality juice and flavour at half the price. Still a mouth watering juice though, which you HAVE to try it once.

Had this juice weeks now and tried my best to get on with it but I just can't!! It just doesn't taste like what it says, quite chemical tasting. Got a few friends to also taste it and they don't like it either.
Also it's quite a harsh juice if you use a subtank or dripper. Think it's well over rated and won't be buying it again, I have also tried a few of the others in this range and no these are not for me!! Don't believe the hype, nice packaging but that's about it!!

As usual five pawns have made an amazing complex ejuice.
The first smell you get a baked apple with a generous amount of pie crust.
I was hoping it would be less appley as im not a massive apple fan - so if you dont like apple dont get this juice! It tastes exactly how it says!
This is however the most amazing spot on apple pie - the pie taste is intense and is overall really quite incredible.
Five pawns have the most amazing craftmanship, a must try.

There are a lot of people like me who have spent hundreds in quest of a perfectly satisfying vape, but were occasionally lucky and mostly disappointed. So for all those people who are looking for that moment when occasionally one would have said "hummm I Like it", "wow it is perfect", at least this time its money worth spent, I would say go for this e-juice.
Its nicely blended with little bit of tartness of apple and lots of creamy flavour. When I opened the bottle I felt a bit of bourbon whisky ish smell which I personally didn't like but when vaped, it has a different flavouring notes to it.
It is an expensive e-juice but overall considering the vape quality and flavour of this e-juice I really liked it.
Can it be an ADV?
Perhaps no.... and its only because of the price tag. It is very good for a change.

Nasty taste used 1ml trying it and flushed the rest... total waste of money! Was really looking forward to receiving it and I was soooo disappointed!! To me it tasted like fermented apple mixed with a whiskey. It smelt as bad as it tasted. Tried it on various devices with determination to like it and the only conclusion I made was that I wasted money and time that I can not have back. The description was so far from the taste I can only promise never to buy another five pawns again!!!!

This was the first Five Pawns E-liquid I tried a long time ago and it tasted good even vaping it out of a shitty Joyetech thing. I seen a lot of bad reviews on this stuff and it must've been a bad batch because it is still as good as I can remember it to be. Don't be put off by the bad reviews and this E-liquid is top class stuff

With all the hype surrounding Five Pawns I am a little disappointed with Gambit. It is as one other reviewer said "wishy-washy" and appears to lack body in my opinion. I have tried it dripped and in a couple of good tanks with various builds and power levels and still very little flavor to speak of. Whilst I appreciate that flavor is subjective I certaintly don't get apple pie, cream, caramel and vanila ice cream or anything like for that matter, perhaps a very weak apple every now and again. Castle Long Reserve is excellent as is Grandmaster and the jury is still out on Lucena. For now Gambit is off the menu.

Having bought a bottle previously and honestly finding it to be three best tasting juice I have ever had however like many reviews below I've found the two bottles I've recently bough that (lot 110) taste strongly of alcohol and artificial apple and not the delicious apple pie of before I think five pawns released a bad batch or made a error going from previous reviews everyone else states the juice is amazing until the last few months very strange ?? Emailed both five pawns and vapeclub simply advised to steep which has taken away the taste of alcohol somewhat but now tastes of a cheap apple

I read such positive reviews of this and got excited, order d a bottle and and settled in for the wait. It came in beautiful packaging and a great looking bottle and arrived very quickly. Then I tried it. Gah! Not for me at all.. that's £25 I'll never get back and an almost full bottle that will sit untouched until I have a juice emergency.

I dont get any apple really. Mostly vanilla and caramel but flavour seems less intensive once you have had it for a while.
Considering the price I would not recommend this. It is very nice and Ill give it a good review because of that but price wise you can get better tasting stuff for 4.99 p/ 10ml.

I'm not getting any apple flavour at all from this. Just a strange liqueur type alcohol taste on the exhale which I wasn't seeking or expecting from the description. Not worth the money in my opinion - much better juices available at a better price elsewhere

I've bought this as it has been recommended to me by a few people and I've finished the whole bottle.
To me it was nothing special, especially for the price. It's expensive and very mediocre.
The flavor tastes nice for the first few hits of the day then becomes lackluster. It's like caramel popcorn, first few bites is nice then turns disgusting and nauseating, The hit itself isn't smooth at all, it's somewhat dry.
I honestly do not recommend this to anyone who wants to vape something that is both high quality and tasty.

First time I've spent serious money money on an e-liquid. In fairness this is a really good vape. Its more of vanilla/light pastry cream flavour. Everywhere go i hear people say "whats that lovely smell.... some people even thought that someone had been baking. My wife thinks that it smells like Sticky Toffee Pudding. Being a chef I must say i am impressed with the taste. Don't really get much 'Apple pie flavour from in it though. Im using a Subtank mini - which obviously is one of the best tanks. so there is plenty of flavour and its a smooth hit. My purchase was the 12mg which for me is just right as having had cheaper liquids in the past at 18mg they have been a little harsh for me. 30ml has lasted me ruffly 3 weeks and i do puff like a trooper... so don't be put off by the price. This is a smooth vape and you really can notice the difference in this better quality liquid.

I was looking for a new brand of e liquid to try and came across Five Pawns, and I was glad I did. At first, £25 seemed a bit overpriced for just one bottle, but it's well worth the money. This is top class stuff and I definitely taste all of the flavours listed in the description, although not all at the same time. I can't really say much else other that just give it a try. I love it and will definitely buy another bottle when I'm done with this one.
Shipping was excellent as well. Arrived next day and really secure packaging so a big thumbs up to vapeclub, I will be buying from them again.

But that and caramel are the only real flavour notes!
A hint of vanilla but where is the apple?
Won't be buying any more from this company.
Don't mind the price so much, but when a key element is missing I'm not a happy vaper!

Simply tastes like an apple cocktail. Alcoholic apple. No cream but a slight savoury crust. Not sold on the taste or the price. Left to sit open for over a week to try and lose the alcohol notes but no real change. Would love to try another batch to see if it makes a difference but won't be paying that much again. Nice branding though.

I don't know how many times I've told the missus "just because it's more expensive, it doesn't make it better." Five Pawns Gambit seems to be the exception to my rule.
I have been unsatisfied with a lot of liquid I've bought recently and found that the taste was not living up to the description the manufacturers gave. So with great scepticism, I decided to fork out the £25 quid on the backs of many great reviews I have read on this liquid. It arrived the day after I ordered it and proceeded to fill up a cleaned out, with fresh coil kanger subtank. The smell was absolutely amazing! Apple pie with an moreish vanilla cream. On the Inhale I get a not too sweet apple taste along with a savoury short crust pastry and on the exhale I experienced nice thick vanilla creaminess that lingers on the tongue. I can't express in words how amazing this liquid is and can only suggest that you try it and see for yourselves!

I ordered this because it was one of the most expensive liquids you can buy so I thought it had to be amazing I ordered it in a 12 mg nic level and I have to say the throat hit was immense so much so it over powered the flavour completely to the point where I dont want to vape it, the only flavour I get from it is a sweet caramel flavour and a baked pie crust I don't get any Apple at all it's ok I guess but over rated in my opinion wouldn't pay £25 for a 30ml bottle again being as there's so many better tasting juices on the market for a lot cheaper, maybe with a lower nic level I may have enjoyed it more but I personally like a more creamy vape which you don't get from this taste wise and being that it's a 50 50 blend the vapour isn't amazing either,I won't be vaping any thing less than a 70 vg 30pg blend again. going to have to trade it with a friend for something I lnow I enjoy. Suicide bunny and kings crown all the way for me... vaping on a nautilus mini on a vv battery.

I bought this liquid after thinking for many times. It's £25, but people say they only sell the best liquids. But I always want to try something I haven't. So I ordered just one bottle of Gambit. I placed the order at night so I didn't expect they would come the next day. It arrived after 2 nights just after 12 noon. I was running late for uni but when I saw my name on a bulky envelope at the doorstep, i knew it was my Gambit. I quickly open it and put 5 drops to my RDA. This might sound too good, but it made me feel as if I was there in my warm hometown back with my friends and family, doing what we do everytime we get together. Perhaps it was because the smell that is so similar to what i used to smell back there when we are having a party at home. Very smooth, great taste, thick cloud, that's all I want.

On a fresh tank I get smooth creamy Apple Pie, Caramel & Vanilla Ice Cream.
As I get towards the bottom of the tank this seems to change to a mild Caramel Mocha Latte.
Good flavour and produces decent amounts of vape.
Top stuff and have just ordered a second bottle.

Wow, the first thing you notice is the potency of the smell, i could smell it through the box. It smells sweet and nommy.
Then i tried it in my kangertech subtank.......OMG, i can literally taste all the flavours in the description, it is like i have eaten a beautiful dessert.
It is sooo Moorish, i cannot put it down,
it is expensive, but worth it.
I would not use it on a dripper, it wouldn't last me 5 minutes!

Bought this juice using the 20% off code as it is a bit pricey but got to say it's great, not as sweet as I expected of which I'm glad, using it in my Russian 91 on my P3 with a 1.2 micro coil with just a slither of cotton.
Also packaging is beautiful, almost didn't want to use it., I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be buying it again.

I would not normally want to throw £25 at a juice, but since VC were kind enough to offer a 20% discount recently, I thought it was worth a punt for the saving; even if it was still a little more than I would stil normally pay for 30ml.
Anyhow, its good, very good. I use a VTR with an iclear 30s. I immediatly got the Apple hit and after a few toots, there was the creamyness and pastry. The taste stays all day, so no need to worry about fading and needing a swap out flavour in your pocket.
It's smooth, yet tasty. I'm sure with a better tank it would be even more tasty, but for now I'm impressed. A good all day vape (if you can handle the cost), or if you feeling flush and like Desert Juices - like moi :)

When I first tasted this juice all I got was pie crust, but after a while I started to get the apple, then the cream, then the vanilla ice cream. This is a seriously complex juice that was obviously crafted by an advanced taste palate! It's expensive, but it's like buying that single malt that you save for special occasions!
This juice is to be vaped in your favourite chair in-front of the fire on a cold and rainy day :-) Top marks!

Fantastically indulgent. I had been buying cheapish fruit flavours locally until I was introduced to this. It really is worth the money, it is distinguished and the aftertaste is smooth. Great juice. Apple pie cinnamon and cream is all there in exactly the right quantity. Stunning juice makes me smile every vape. Higher nicotine levels does change taste quite a bit so 3mg or 6 mg in rda is bliss. I recommend this.
