A great tasting coil, but I found they didn’t last long.

Using these coils in the Baby Beast tank on a Smok Alien, after spending a fortune on the oct and quad coils as recomended and having the dissapointment of abruptly burning through them in a matter of days on changing, I decided to give this coil a go and give the BB tank one last chance before I ditched it for one of my old tanks.
I am happy I gave these coils a go, ok there is still some faffing, but not only am I getting longer use out of them compaired to the other compatible coils, I am getting a smooth throat hit with nice cloud with little to no flavour change over the time, which saved this mod from the drawer of no return, the coils last me on average 2000-2400 puffs at 60/65w before you can tell they are going, which is good, because lets face it this tank is a pain in the ..... to change coils on. However, I have been peircing the wick, this is key if you want a decent vape from the Smok coils, this method works well with this coil ( harder with the quad and oct coils) amd by using a large pin to puncture the wick going through the outer wick into the core/coil wick with a little bit of jiggling and then closing the holes you made in the outer wick inlets up by teasing the cotton a bit once done, allowed for better saturation and a much better vape. I personally think the coils for the Baby Beast are packed way too tight with the outer wick and then the inner wick that wraps the coils not allowing the juice to pass through easily.
But, Smok still really need to sort their coils out.
