The Voopoo Drag X3 is an easy-to-use kit that's ideal if you’re looking for a straightforward sub ohm vape. The Drag X3 mod is powered by a single 18650 or 21700 battery (sold separately) and it features a 5-80W adjustable output. Included is one Voopoo PNP X DTL replacement pod, and two PNP X mesh coils that support DTL (Direct To Lung) vaping. This kit can also be used for MTL (Mouth To Lung) and RDTL (Restricted Direct To Lung) vaping, making it a versatile option.
Features:
- Requires 1 x 18650 Or 21700 Battery
- 5-80W Wattage Range
- DTL, RDTL & MTL Vaping
- Button Activated
- Eco Mode (Saves Battery)
- RBA Mode (Manual Wattage Adjustment)
- Smart Mode (Automatically Sets Wattage)
- Compatible With PNP X Pods & Coils
- 2ml Side-Filling Pod
- Adjustable Airflow
- Compatible With High VG E-Liquid
Combining a single button design with a full touchscreen display and three vaping modes, your Drag X3 is quick and easy to set up and use. Smart Mode automatically detects the resistance of your chosen coil, selecting the best power level to match. If you want complete control, use RBA Mode, where you'll be able to increase or decrease the wattage to suit you. Eco Mode will conserve battery levels while delivering a consistent amount of vapour.
The included PNP X DTL replacement pod features an adjustable airflow ring that allows you to tailor how tight or loose each inhale feels. Plus, it’s easy to refill – just lift the rubber stopper on the side of the pod to access the fill port. The 0.15 Ohm option works best between 60-80W, while the 0.3 Ohm coil works best between 32-40W. Both should be paired with a 70% VG e-liquid for best results.

X3 as a replacement for M100S (20 November 2025)
I’m a huge fan of Voopoo, having tried so many other brands over the years, and I’ve been waiting on the release of the Drag X3 to replace an aging M100S.
I’m in favour of removable batteries so I can charge a few at a time and swap them out on-the-go instead of having to carry around a USB charging plug and cable.
Tip: You need to remove the plastic insert if you’re using larger 21700 batteries. This stumped me the first time with the M100S as it isn’t obvious this insert can be pulled out, so it appeared as though the larger batteries would never fit.
I much prefer Voopoo’s newer PNP-X coils having tried them out in the Vinci E120, and so far haven’t had any short-time fails of the 0.15’s at 65W-80W. The pod also hasn’t leaked, despite often ending up upside down when I’m out-and-about.
It would be a nice touch if Voopoo added a magnetic snap-on dust cover to the next version as in the Vmate E2, to save me that mouthful of fluff when it has been languishing in my pocket.
The Drag X3 is all-in-all a fantastic bit of kit, it’s a 9-out-of-10 from me, losing a little over a few personal niggles.
I’m not a fan of the half-body fully-detachable battery holder rather than the far quicker bottom flip-open-and-insert of the M100S. The battery level indicator also isn’t that accurate, it barely moves from 100% for the first couple of hours of vaping then the last 20% loses at a rate of 1% per puff.
You might also find the small touch screen is a bit fiddly if you‘re all fingers-and-thumbs like myself. It’s also a bit of a pain to have to fully lock and unlock the X3 via the screen. The time-of-day on the screen saver can’t be disabled and obviously has to be reset or ignored at every battery swap over or unless you use the built-in USB-C charging port.
That said, the Drag X3 is a worthy successor to the M100S and I can highly recommend it.
