The Uwell Caliburn AK3 pod vape kit is a compact matchbox-style option. Easy to use, it produces a discreet amount of vapour for an MTL (Mouth To Lung) vape. Powered by a built-in 520mAh battery, you can vape for longer on just a single charge and the kit will reach full charge in just 15 minutes, thanks to USB-C fast charging. It’s a good option for beginners or seasoned vapers after a simpler vape and each kit includes two 1.0 Ohm Caliburn A3 pods to help you get started.

Features:

  • Slim Refillable Pod Kit
  • 520mAh Built-In Battery
  • 15-Minute Recharge
  • Fixed 13W Output
  • MTL Vaping
  • Inhale Activated
  • 1.0 Ohm Mesh Coil Pods

As this kit is inhale activated, there are no buttons or menus for you to navigate. Instead, all you have to do is inhale on the mouthpiece to start vaping. Designed to deliver a vape that feels closer to a cigarette, this kit creates a smaller amount of vapour for an MTL inhale. The fixed power output of this kit also ensures you’ll experience a consistent vape every time – even when the device is low on battery.

The A3 Caliburn pods can each hold up to 2ml of e-liquid of your choice and their top-filling design makes topping them up easier than ever. The built-in mesh coils will heat up your e-liquid faster for improved flavour. You won’t need to worry about messy coil changes either, as you just replace the entire pod instead. To match the 1.0 Ohm resistance of the coils inside your pods, we suggest pairing them with a 50% VG e-liquid or a higher PG option for best results.

Please note: The Uwell Caliburn AK3 kit does not include a USB-C charging cable, but you can buy a USB-C Cable separately.

So tiny but so powerful (26 December 2023)

I'm usually more inclined to use the stick style battery on all my devices but I brought this because I love the Caliburn range. This one was a nice surprise as I was not expecting it to be this compact and have such a nice hand feel. Device feels premium and well thought out.

The light show is cool and you can disable it by clicking the pod in and out quickly 3 times.

The 1.0ohm pod is perfect for high nic salt, and the 0.8 works great with a 60/40 salt.. also 0.8 is ok with 70/30 shortfill but needs to be a low nic strength and try not to toot on it too hard or it won't saturate and the mesh will burn out.

Very fast charge I timed 18ish mins from completely flat to fully charged.

Great price @ £15 for this & 2 pods included.

My 2nd one (18 September 2023)

I do love this pod kit.

Easy coil/pod change, top fill and the draw activation is always spot on.

I am however not to impressed with the coils or the battery life, luckily I am around chargers all day, and it charges pretty quick. But it will last half a day if I'm lucky, and I don't exactly chug it.

Coils seems to be very hit and miss, sometimes lasting weeks, sometimes lasting days before you start to get the brown/blackish streaks in the tank.

Still not a bad little pod. But definitely upgrading to a larger battery capacity pod next.

Decent (16 August 2023)

For the price, I was surprised by this! The vape is small and easy to use. It does a little light show after you vape on it, which is cute but I disabled that feature quickly as it was draining the battery a lot quicker. I vape on this a lot and I charge it twice a day because of that. The battery life could be better but it’s definitely still good value for money. The pods are a little leaky but they last for a long time, I can go through 3/4 10ml bottles of Nic salts before the coil starts to burn out. For a cheap start up/beginner pod vape, this is perfect.

Don’t even bother (12 June 2023)

Just the same as the Caliburn -A2 and A3 just constant leaking pods. Same old battery life, just seems to be no improvement from Uwell with their Caliburn series pod kits. A big let down

It’s alright (26 April 2023)

Easy to use for beginners and nice compact size. Only down side is the surface scratches easily.

A big improvement on a great vape (29 January 2023)

This is a huge improvement over the AK2, mostly because it doesn't seem to leak, which is the main issue with the AK2 pods. Sometimes the leaks would cause it to keep firing on it's own or not work at all. The new coils on this seem to last just as long to me, I've been heavily using the one it came with for 3 days and it's still going strong. I personally think the design looks much better, with the exception of the big caliburn LED when you fire it which is less subtle than the small light on the AK2. The vaping experience is more or less the same, although this is slightly smoother when I've compared the two.

If you've never used either of these, they are compact, have fairly long lasting coils and produce great flavour. The battery life is OK but they charge quickly. The draw is slightly airy but still MTL. I would highly recommend.

They may have finally cracked it (21 December 2022)

I love pod vapes, they're my go to whether I'm vaping at home or on the go.

So far I've tried the original Uwell Koko, the Uwell AK2, the Uwell GK2 and now I'm using the Uwell Caliburn AK3.

The major issue I've had with all the vapes, is the pods leak or major condensation builds up. These leads to having to clean out the pod slot and wipe down the pod every so often.

I really liked the AK2 because of its metal body and sleek design. I tried the GK2 for a while, though it had a plastic body and more LEDs than a boy racer. So switched back to the AK2. Though the main issue was always pods leaks.

Now comes the AK3. Its very similar in appearance to its predecessor. Sleek metal body. Pretty much the same size. Except this time slightly curvier. It also has an LED that lights up, "CALIBURN", when you take a draw. Green, Blue, red for the current battery status. It looks sleek and nice, pocket sized.

The Huge difference with this, is the pods. No leaks, no condesation. I've been tooting on this thing like a steam train and when pulling out the pod to refill. I don't see a drop of juice on the bottom of the pod.

Only time will tell if it lives upto my current excitement for it. Though I'd say it's an improvement over it's predecessor.

... (20 December 2022)

I have been using the Uwell Caliburn products for a while now. I've used the new AK3 for 4 days now but I have to say I am not overly impressed, mainly due to the coils, one coil really does only work effectively for a couple of days before streaks appear within the liquid meaning the coil is starting to burn out! Maybe a faulty batch. But for the couple of days it is a great little vape. It is advertised as a 15 min charge, but it's around 30 minutes on three cables I've tried. The logo lighting is pointless but I'm sure others will think it's cool. I do much prefer the AK2 if I'm honest, coils last five to seven days, better shape and design. Obviously this is just my opinion.
