Getting started with your Grape AF5000 is easy. Once you’ve unwrapped and inserted the refill container, turn the device upside down to refill the pod. Then, all you have to do is inhale on the mouthpiece to vape. The AF5000 is designed to deliver an MTL (Mouth To Lung) inhale, so it’ll produce a discreet amount of vapour – just like a cigarette or a standard disposable vape. To top up the 2ml pod, turn your device upside down again and e-liquid in the refill container will flow into the pod – with no leaks.
The pod inside the Grape Elf AF5000 features a QUAQ mesh coil which heats e-liquid quickly and evenly for improved flavour, and since the e-liquid inside has been blended with salt nicotine, it will satisfy cravings fast while delivering a smooth throat hit. Unwrap Your AF5000
Open the box and unwrap your Elf Bar AF5000 device.
Remove The Sticker
Remove the instructions sticker.
Remove The Safety Seal
Pull out the silicone safety seal.
Prepare Your Refill Container
Remove the sticker and cap from the refill container – without removing the rubber stopper under the cap.
Insert Your Refill Container
Slide the refill container into the device.
Fill Your AF5000
Turn the device upside down for ten seconds, allowing e-liquid to flow from the refill container into the pod. You’ll see bubbles appear while the pod is filling, and when they stop, it’s full.
Vape Your AF5000
Remove the silicone stopper on the mouthpiece and inhale to vape.
Charge Your AF5000
Recharge your device when the battery runs low.

As far as the law on disposables go i've often found them limited with those that can offers thousands of puffs being illegal, but now through some very clever design technicalities we have a vape device that is rechargable and refills itself from the extra tank you have to clip in at the first use. First try was easy to get working, thankfully no leaks on this one. Battery was clearly wearing out as it reached the end of the tank though so consider this more of a disposable with a little extra life and a charging ability than something you will be able to use for a few months or more.
I've been a mod user for at least a decade now but it's nice to have a inhale activated device especially whilst driving. It's just the right size for the pocket, gives good flavour and nicoteen, a little strong for me but it stops me chain vaping.
This gives me the faith that as long as I start a journey with the "tank" (it's technically a refill bottle to fill an internal tank so needs holding upside down once a day) still showing some juice (you'll need a torch for this, certainly a part where the rating comes down a little for that part of it's design) and a full battery that i'm not going to run out or have to refill while on the motorway as it's not the safest of things to do.
Not that using this is either, or at least the first of the three I purchased isn't. The issue I have had is the device actuating itself without being used, that is to say producing vapour and heating itself up. The last thing I want is that happen while driving, or indeed at all.
It happened twice on seperate occasions, interestingly when I tried removing the tank once empty I had to put pressure on the device (which is officially not recommended but the coil would still last a little longer if it was removable), this actuated the device for a third time, leading to me having to give it a smack on the desk which stopped it.
This makes me feel the switch inside is too sensitive for the device. Prior to the moment of my squeezing of the device I had not used the device outside of how you would expect anybody to. No drops, no abuse, just standard usage, in and out of pockets or my bag with the mouthpiece plug in at all times (a must unless you enjoy vaping pocket bits!).
A good device that would certainly benefit from a way to turn it off manually even if only designed to be semi-reusable. There's a lot to like about these, just slightly concerned about the experience I've had so far though. With a battery capacity that will last days between charges with moderate use that is a lot of time for it to run out and I have seen nothing to suggest it has any cut-off internally to prevent it burning the coil and maybe more.
Early on with this in mind, a generous 7/10 giving it benefit of the doubt as i've seen nothing else in other reviews of these suggesting a similar experience.
