You might have seen Klik Klaks pop up lately and been wondering what they are. They’re a range of disposable vapes from esteemed US-based e-liquid manufacturers, Element. They have all the features you’d expect from a disposable, like 600 puffs, nic salt e-liquid and inhale activation. However, there’s one major feature that sets them apart from the rest. The Klik Klaks have a nifty magnetic snap design, which lets you combine two flavours at once.
We thought this was quite an exciting idea for a disposable vape and the option to combine different flavours gives a lot of opportunity to mix things up in interesting ways. We tested all of the possible combinations and picked the top ten.
Before we get into the combinations, we thought we’d briefly describe each of the flavours on their own for a bit of context. This way you can get a gist of what they’re like individually and get a gauge of how they’ll interact with the other flavour notes — although you may be surprised by the verdicts we give.
This sweet and tangy blend is a fruity flavour that combines an assortment of mixed fruits with a sugary candy finish. This can be tasted as soon as you take the first puff, while the candy undertones make up the endnote. Super Sour is great on its own if you’re looking for something that’s as sweet as it is sour, while also complimenting some of the other blends very well.
This one’s fairly self-explanatory and pretty much does what it says on the box. Ice features a sharp menthol flavour with an icy kick. It's a strong choice on its own as a fresh-tasting vape and as seen in countless other blends, is a great way of cooling down the sweeter flavours of fruit or candy blends.
This next one on our list is fairly unique. Aloe Grape is a distinctive blend of the sweet yet tart taste of ripe grapes with subtle hints of aloe vera to create a sweet vape with a touch of tanginess. It’s a fruity-floral fusion that’s a real standout in Klik Klak’s selection.
Pineapple is a fairly straightforward flavour but that doesn’t take away from its incredibly exotic taste. It highlights the sweet and tangy notes of tropical pineapples throughout, from start to finish. Its tanginess stands out alone, but could also be a good way of sharpening some of the sweeter blends in the Klik Klak range.
Speaking of keeping things simple, there’s something about the taste of tropical fruit that makes us just want to kick back and relax. The Passion Fruit PuffMi is all about the sweet and its distinctive flavour carries through from inhale to exhale. Classic but never boring, the passionfruit brings with it a juicy taste that helps gives this vape a real depth. All in all, if you’re in the market for something exotic – this is a clear winner.
This juicy blend delivers sweet passion fruit notes from inhale all the way to the exhale. We think this flavour would taste great blended with a medley of other exotic fruits, so vape it alone or pair it with another Klik Klak to create a new, unique tropical fusion.
Blue Sour Raspberry is one of the most popular flavours used in disposable vapes, so you might already know what you’re getting from this. This juicy-tasting berry blend strikes a balance between sweet and tart, thanks to its contrasting blend of blueberries and raspberries. If your Klik Klak needs a fruity counterpart, it can help to create a bold combination.
Here’s another simple yet bold fruity flavour. Watermelon authentically captures the exotic taste of the classic tropical fruit we know and love. The juicy-tasting notes are prominent throughout. From start to finish, inhale to exhale. This could be a good pairing for other fruit blends or perhaps a way of complimenting a drink or ice flavour.
Now that we’ve tried each of the flavours on their own and talked you through them, let’s get to the good stuff. As mentioned earlier, we picked ten of the 55 possible (yep, you read that right) combinations that we think are the best. Some of them you may expect, but some of the combinations might just surprise you. So, let’s get right to it.
We thought that the chilly menthol hit of Ice would compliment the fruity sweetness of Passion nicely and we were right. This combination pretty much tastes how we expected it to. The taste of passionfruit is the dominant note upon inhaling, while the menthol takes over on the exhale.
We enjoyed this just as much as Super Sour with Peach Ice, so the former could possibly be a standout in the Klik Klak range. You can taste the tanginess of Super Sour on the inhale immediately, while Passion is more prominent on exhale and makes up the endnote. The fruity and sugary notes definitely enhance each other and the result is a very sweet vape with a slight tartness to balance it out.
We wanted to see how sour a Klik Klak combination can get and we weren’t disappointed by the result. Blue Sour Raspberry is a bit more prominent throughout, while Super Sour provides more of an undertone. The sour notes of both blends come together to create a very tangy vape, as you might expect, while the sugary candy and sweet blueberry notes compliment each other very well too.
We liked Super Sour a lot and we were itching to pair it up with another flavour, so we thought “how about Pineapple?” Upon taking the first puff, we couldn’t quite tell which notes were more prominent, as they’re both quite tangy blends. After taking another draw, we noticed that the exotic taste of Pineapple came through first, while Super Sour made up more of an endnote. The sugary undertones of candy complement the tropical pineapple tang on the exhale nicely.
The dark grape notes combined with the passion fruit creates a sweet yet tart vape, as you may expect. The touch of aloe vera is a nice addition, as it softens the combination of bold flavours with its mellow taste. Aloe Grape might be quite an acquired taste on its own, let alone when paired with another blend, so this might not be for everyone. However, if you’re looking for a unique fusion of fruity and floral flavours, then you should definitely try this out.
This next combination is nice and balanced. The tangy taste of the mixed fruits is very prominent from the get go and make up the inhale. This is before the sugary candy notes blend together with the medley of tropical fruits to sweeten the tanginess on the exhale. Overall, these two flavours combined deliver a well-rounded vape that isn’t overpowering at all.
