I was a bit hesitant while investing in one of these as I was still relatively new to sub-ohm vaping however now I don't regret my purchase one bit! It is an incredible simple device with easy control of wattage and airflow and depending on your choice of coil the device will last ages without a charge, paired with the flavourful rpm-3 coils it is a favourable and enjoyable experience using this vape. The only down sides I can think of it's the fill port being a bit tricky to open and the mouth piece definitely being something to get used to :)

Tried using these products many years ago and could not get on with them so would use disposables however I thought I would give this one a go. The nord5 is fantastic. It looks great. Superb cloud chasing, charging is fairly quick and Ive not noticed battery not lasting long but am not vaping constantly. Easy to use and decently compact for a make user. Overall a great machine

The Smok Nord 5 was the first pod kit I bought. It was meant to be a spare for when my main vape (a chunky GeekVape that had cost twice as much) was out of commission, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the power. It goes up to 80W, is light and compact, has a reasonable battery life and doesn't leak. Importantly for me, it's also resilient and has survived being dropped multiple times! The plastic pods are much hardier than the glass tanks I was used to, as well as far cheaper to replace (pack of 3 for £6).
In terms of flavour production, it does fall short of GeekVape and Uwell tanks, and the coils don't last very long - a few days, but I use it a lot and with sweet e-liquids. However, I get a lovely flavour for the first 2-3 days of a new coil, and refilling is easy and not messy. The biggest problem with filling is that the silicone flap covering the hole is a bit fiddly, and also succumbs to wear and tear quickly - the one on mine tore off completely after a few weeks, creating a leakage issue.
Overall, the cost-effectiveness and low maintenance make it a perfect vape for taking out and about.

Brilliant little vape, nice cloud. Coils last a long time and the variable wattage makes this a top range product! No issues so far and hope it continues that way too. Looking into getting replacement tanks as i like to switch flavours regular. And looking at the price they are really cheap for a 3 pack. Awesome

Bought 2 of these for myself and my partner as our vaperesso vapes stopped working. This is a really good vape. i managed to take the bung out the tank which now holds 4.5ml liquid rather then 2ml with the bung in. Really nice looking vape, comfortable in hand. Doesnt leak.

It's good upgrade from Nord 4
Nice design, better air flow control,no more falling off magnets and better coil locking system.
But why the heck coils burn so quickly?
First 015 ohm coil burn because of strange short circuit after 2-3 days,025 ohm -just don't like it so I bought another 5x015 ohm and after couple of days I start to feel burning signs - it's a huge minus.

I ordered and received this a while back to go alongside a Gotek X, and been using it ever since! Coils last a long time and the variable wattage makes this a top range product! No issues so far and hope it continues that way. No complaints here!

I have been a heavy user of the Nord 4 and when one had an accident with a toilet, I decided it was time to move up a peg. This does not disappoint. Type C Fast charging and the usual 2ml capacity in a slightly smaller package. The meshed RPM3 coils hold up to the larger RPM2 coils and there's even a lock for coil on the pod. The airway design is a lot less fiddly, compared to the Nord 4 also, offering a smoother vape.

Just bought this after having the NORD 4 for about a year, glad i bought the new model.
Lots of little QOL improvements, the vents used to be on the main body, which made it easy for my beard and other detritis to get stuck inside and the vents were a bit fiddly, On this model the vents are side on, with a machanism on the body to pull them open and closed, much improved.
The pod gets rid of the magnets from the old model that were a regular issue with the magnets becoming unstuck or cracking the pod. The pod itself if much better, it now sinks much deeper into the vape and clicks in. The liquid is held higher meaning less chance of accidentaly burning out the mesh. The side port for elquid is much more sturdy and looks like it will hold longer than on the 4.
Yeah its a big improvement, thanks to SMOK for evidently doing their ergonomics research and development on their products!

I mean it is a Nord? They aren’t the best but I thought I would give the Nord 5 a go and boy do I wish I didn’t bother. Still constant leaking and a disgusting taste from any liquid I try in there. I really wish Smok would stop making Nords

This is probably the best Smok Nord to date. Their coils for this are much better quality, fewer options, so you have more chance of actually getting the right coil. But they're still Smok, and Smok coils aren't great. Admittedly these are better but there's still many better devices out there to spend your money on

I bought this as my 1st vape, produces big clouds even on short 1 second puffs. The coil needs changing every now and then, typically I do 200 puffs a day and I get about 2200 puffs before I have to replace the coil. Good sized battery lasts me about 3 days. Some leakage through the mouthpiece other than that it's all good

I upgraded from the Smok Nord 2 to this model after some internal leaking from the Nord 2. I have very mixed feelings about this kit, mostly because they've only half addressed the faults from the previous model. Frustrating because they clearly knew they needed addressing but it didn't quite nail the improvements. Here are my thoughts...
Design
I love the design of the tank. Comfortable to hold, solid construction, looks great. pods stays in better but the ridiculous side fill is still there so make sure you carry tissues around with you. Original, unmodified pods are freely available online.
Display
Marginal improvement on previous models, I couldn't see the battery display before, now I can just about make it out. They could have done better.
Battery
Improved battery life means I can get through the day at work without needing to recharge, still not quite a full day though. USB-C charging is much quicker than previous kits, but still located underneath the device.
Operation
Coil detection and adjustable airflow are both great, as is the improved wattage adjustment and lock. The fire button is better quality too so no more mis-presses and adjusting wattage when I want to turn the device off.
Coils and flavour
The flavour from this kit is insane. Absolutely brilliant. For 2-3 days, because that's how long these awful RPM 3 coils will last. Some juices can push this out to 5 days and I find the 0.4 OHM coils last marginally longer than the others.
Summary
Despite the negativity, this is still a decent bit of kit and on a new coil with a full tank of juice you'll struggle to find better flavour, clouds etc. It is an improvement on previous models, but could have been even better. Worth a go if you liked older versions, but beware of those RPM 3 coils.

I got sick of carrying batteries for my sub ohm setups and decided to try out a pod device. After reading a lot of reviews on various machines I decided to go with the Nord 5 and I'm very impressed with it.
Pro's:
- Good battery life (I bought a 2nd one, because I'm a heavy vapor and they both last me the entire day)
- Small form factor - fit's in the pocket nicely and feels good in hand
- Coils give a nice tasting vape and last a decent amount of time
- Decent airflow (on par with any good sub ohm tank)
- Price
Con's:
- Filling is a little annoying. I'm not a fan of rubber bungs. They tend to leak and I have found that to be the case with this device. Only a small amount though. Not so much that it could damage the insides or fill your pocket with juice.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. You really can't go wrong with a product like this at such a cheap price. It deliver's a fantastic flavourfull vape, the coils last and it has a decent battery life.
Vaping it at 35 watts, with the RPM 3 (0.15) coil with some 'Wild Roots - Gold dust'. Perfect combination :)

This is my second product from Smok and I'm very happy. I read your reviews and must said my Nord 5 doesn't leak at all. Great flavours and clouds as well. Just one cons battery life but what You can expect from small device like this. Overall 10*. Last thing by mistake my Nord 5 flying 2 meters land on the road now is even drop-proof. 🤣

I've purchased a few pod kits in my time and was a die hard voopoo user but decided to try a few other brands. I brought this based on a few reviews online, I'm a fan of the smok morph however it was on its way out and decided to give smok another try.
I'm not disappointed great value for money I ordered the white leather and it's a really REALLY good product the only complaint I have is on a high wattage the battery won't last long other than that a very good purchase great flavour easy to use nice and compact. Brilliant

These Mods are incredible but what I've found is before use a good 14 hour charge is needed.
I'm old and don't know if people remember when buying a mobile phone if you didn't give them a massive Long charge the battery life was terrible.
Well it's the same with these bad boys as my first was a little lacking in battery but giving the second that massive first charge has worked wonders.
Just want to help you guys out through my experience.
Deffo a good purchase all the same.

Been using the Nord 5 for a week now.
This is my second purchase so I can not worry about battery life.
At 40w I get around 160 puffs which is about right for a 2000mah battery.
Purchased a 3 pack of 4.5ml tanks which are widely available online.
Pro tip, although slightly annoying to avoid any kind of leaking remove pod when not in use which isn't a big deal as do this with my drag s and Argus and have become used to this.
Coils are amazing and flavour is incredible for a pod device.
Smok has a bad rep but the novo 2 x and this baby are amazing in my opinion and this is from someone who's waisted so much money on mods over the years..... Mainly when they first became a thing after mods and separate tank set ups.... Plus you currently get a 50ml eliquid included.

Had the first Nord and wasn't that impressed.
This is lots better with zero leaking, do need to purchase the 4.5ml pod separately though.
The coils are amazing but .15 coils will drain the battery fast but using the higher ohm coil also provided at a reasonable wattage provides around 200 puffs with dense clouds and amazing flavor.
I'm considering a second purchase.

Was expecting something special considering it cost a bit more than my first ever chong and the SMOK brand is a well known one, this chong leaks A LOT, be prepared to wake up to an empty chong bcos it’s leaked out all your liquid overnight, coils burn out quick in this too, once the fabric has become quite dense with liquid it leaks even more, wouldn’t recommend and returning to my old chong (cali burn)

First impressions were good but then encountered first of many leaks from the pod. Had primed coil, was using 70vg liquid but still leaks continued.
Tried a couple of other coils which leaked through the base onto pins.

Find this too heavy. The pods are way too big and it’s useless for MTL. Hurts the throat, burns coils.
Battery life is not a day and a half as advertised. Can’t change the display colour on this one either.
Easy to use. Thinking mine must be faulty it’s so bad. Gone back to the much cheaper Sonder U.
There is a 2ml plug in the pod but you can source a 5ml elsewhere from Smok.
It leaks like a sieve too which I see loads moaning about. Check out you tube for a solution than means removing the black cover as a solution but I haven’t tried it yet.
Only been using a few days and it is simple to use but the plug for fillling feels weak and liable to break and if you have short nails it will be difficult to open.
Not impressed so far. It’s only been a few days of use but I do not reach for it.
